After a career of over 20+ years in Investment Banking where I advised the boards of many companies and for whom I executed over 100 high profile capital raising transactions covering the entire balance sheet (debt to equity), I decided early 2024 to make a step outside of banking motivated by a desire to make more direct impact in organisations. I have worked with a wide range of companies from early stage start-ups to well established multinationals in various industries, with a focus on food/non-food retail, energy transition, marine-offshore, and building & engineering.
My first interim role (in 2024), as Head of Funding & Investor Relations, has been for Fastned, a founder-led and mission driven Euronext listed company focused on building the best fast-charging stations for electric vehicles. The accelerated growth phase of Fastned and the resulting focus on funding and investor relations, gave me the ability to instantly put all my knowledge and experience to work.
In January 2025 I started a new interesting assignment at PE-backed UNITED WATERWAYS where I assisted the CFO and the team in arranging new funding for growth projects. UNITED WATERWAYS is the largest white-label passenger ship operator in Europe.
Wondering what I can do for you? This can be dealing with all aspects of an Investor Relations role or managing all aspects of a capital raising transaction. This includes advising the management team and shareholders on the structure, setting-up the investment case and valution, managing the due diligence process, negotiation, documentation and successfully closing the transaction. Parallel to this I will manage a team, the lawyers & banks and liaise with other stakeholders involved.
Born in 1976, I am married and have two teen age sons and a dog, living in a beautiful village in the center of the Netherlands. The people I work with describe me as result driven, focussed, stress resistant, creative, flexible and open minded, with a low ego and a good sense of humour. I am hands-on and a quick learner.
I have a passion for cooking, good food and wine. We love to travel and I am an active HYROX racer, runner and skier in the season.
